Opera Poster Series
I was tasked with designing a three-poster series that embodied the essence of three classic opera singers: Marian Anderson, Andrea Bocelli, and Fairuz. This project taught me about the impact of storytelling in design-how the piece can come to life if you allow the context to become an element. I was also given the oportunity to explore multimedia design though physical type play and experimentation in the classroom.
TOPIC DESCRIPTION
Anderson, Bocelli and Fairuz suffered immense tragedy in their lives. From losing loved ones to going blind as a child, these artists persevered and, despite these tragedies, went on to create inspiring music that went down in history. With music being this magical and often fluid media and these artists using it to get through such isolation times-i put together a phrase to use as a through-line of the three artists…
